San Diego Southern California was hit with several rain storms in the first week of March 2014. I saw a break in the rain so I headed down to Coronado for my routine Sunday run from the amphibious base to the Navy Seal training base and back. The tide was super high, so I had to run part of the boardwalk to get to the sandy beach. I usually run barefoot but used my running shoes due to the freezing cold. I had three shirts and a hooded jacket which kept me unusually warm. The path was full of running streams and pools of water from the high tide and rain. All year round I usually jump in the water afterward for my shower but decided not to today due to cold and rain runoff. I found lots of toys along the way:
